Product Overview
An X-ray grid is the part of an X-ray machine that filters out randomly deflected radiation that can obscure or blur an image produced by the machine. The Grid X-Ray 10:1 12 inch SCD is designed to be used in radiographic systems. The shape of the grid is circular with a line rate of 60 lines per centimeter and diameter of 12.972 inches. The grid is made with lead (Pb) as absorption material covered by carbon fiber and the material used in interspace is fiber. X-rays that create the true image on the film travel in a straight line, so this grid allows the passing of straignt lines. Deflected X-rays that can add noise to the image hit the grid strips at an angle and the grid absorbs these to ensure quality images. The grid is placed in the X-ray beam path between the patient and detector, which improves image quality. This grid can be mounted using six Ø 0.141 inches through holes which are seperated at 60 degree. It also has two white filled circles to indicate grid orientation. This assembly can be used with GE's OEC 9600, OEC 9800 and OEC 9900 systems.
